For the Neurotic Only

The past two nights, I've been enchanted by the web series "The Guild," which popped up in its entirety on Xbox LIVE. Mark & I zoomed through both seasons in two nights.

Now, let me clarify "season." We're not talking a three-DVD box set; most episodes are less than 5 minutes. This length fits the spirit of the series which focuses on the hapless happenings of six online gaming cohorts stuck between their virtual and real lives.

I first encountered the series creator, Felicia Day, on "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog." She was witty, self-deprecating, and well, cute, even then. She is even more so on Guild.

The other five cast members are impeccable in their roles. Much like "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," I can never decide which character I like best, and my loyalties sway with each new plot twist and turn.

You can breeze through one season in less than an hour.
Requirements for watching:
  • Neurosis of some kind
  • Knowledge of online gaming
  • Familiarity of techie stereotypes
  • Willingness to not be offended
I'm off to go buy my Guild t-shirt now...
