Avaturd

If you're thinking about going to see the latest offering from James Cameron, "Avatar," you don't really need to. You've probably seen it already.

If you have seen any / all / some of the following, then you already know what cliché themes await you:

  • Miyazaki's "Nausicaa" (1984) and "Princess Mononoke" (1997)
  • Disney's "Pocahontas" (1995)
  • Gibson's "Braveheart" (1995)
  • The Wachowski brothers' "The Matrix" (1999)
  • Jackson's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy (2001-2003)
  • Jackson's "King Kong" (2005)...
...and plenty of other films that shall remain nameless because they deserve better than to be associated with this 162-minute overwrought waste of celluloid.
