Then, Belial gets sad because now I'm back at school all day, and he has no one to talk to/play with. He demands attention the minute either I or Mark walk in the door after a long day. Yes, your majesty.
The real disaster is two new neighborhood kitties (orange stripes w/white socks) who visit at the back window. Belial hasn't been eating as usual, which sent Mark to the Internet to find this:
"Cats have highly selective eating habits. The location of the food dish, noise, the presence of other animals, and other threats or distractions can adversely affect how much they are willing to eat. A cat in a boarding facility may go an entire week without eating (which can be dangerous)."As a Burmese, Belial exhibits the common trait of the absence of a fighting instinct. This breed is extremely intelligent, but simply doesn't know the art of defense.
Another drawback is Belial's previous owners declawed him, so there's no chance for tree-climbing fun. Hence, he can't go outside to make friends with these intruders. Our chocolate kitty must settle for a daily round of staring contests through glass.

Dear Belial:
Please eat a lot because Cindy and Mark are very worried about you. I'm worried about you, too.
