Gone Ahuntin'

Despite taking up a whole day of my precious weekend, I'm looking forward to tomorrow's professional conference for my major, TESOL. I'm hoping to score some free textbooks from the publishers, get some good ideas from the workshops, and drop off my resume with some future employers.

One prospect I'm particularly excited about is teaching Vocational ESL on a cruise ship. I've dusted off my resume, highlighted my international experience, and tried to make myself look as good as possible on this document worth its weight in gold.

This job sounds alternately exhilarating and terrifying. "Hey, I'm on a cruise ship for three months! What an adventure!" -or- "Hey, I'm on a cruise ship for three months! What a prison!" I'll find out more tomorrow. Either way, I'm ready to schmooze and make some contacts for the job search that looms on the horizon after graduation this May.

Today's wish: That my work meeting this afternoon won't be as boring or pointless as I imagine it will be.
