While killing time on the greatest time waster of them all, the Internet, I started looking around for tidbits about my Japanese boyfriend, Jun Matsumoto. I fell in love with him when I was studying in Japan and discovered the drama "Gokusen."
It seems my boy has been studying English. Looking at the comments about this clip, everyone is ga ga for his "cute" English. Is it really?
This is the worst (or best?) example I can find of what audiolingualism produces. I should know; I taught this method for the duration of my position at AEON in Yokohama.
Fellow teachers, check it out and let me know if you agree. His delivery is very stunted, and it's obvious someone just drilled and drilled him to death to memorize this "script." でも、まだかっこいいじゃない？
