One Mean Margherita

After spending half a summer in Italy a few years back, I still remember one culinary tip from my gracious hostess. If trying a new pizzeria, always go for the Margherita. This will make or break a decision to return.

If you DON'T know the traditional Margherita style pizza, then the best place to start would be Buono's Pizzeria. This Neopolitan offering features fresh mozzarella, basil and tomato, all lightly brushed w/extra-virgin olive oil.

I hate to do this, but ... OMG.

I've haven't had pizza this delicious since, well, I was in Italy. My fellow diners agreed, and there was nary a slice left to take home. I'm eagerly awaiting my next visit to Buono's. Così squisito!
