Anatomy of a Step Class

Like a good little resolution maker, I've been hitting the gym pretty regularly this month. Funny how fast you lose whatever fitness you have acquired. Here's how my usual step aerobics class proceeds:

7:58 a.m. Oh, crowded.

8:03 Stretching is nice. I like marching, too.

8:15 One-quarter of the way finished. Piece of cake.

8:21 Thirsty, so thirsty.

8:30 Getting sweaty. But 1/2 way finished, thank god.

8:39 Is this ever gonna end?!

8:40 Oh! 66.6% through. Yippee.

8:47 NOOooooo. I don't "Wanna go again?"

8:50 Cardio finally over. Great. Uh-oh. Abs are next.

8:52 Do I even have any ab muscles?

8:57 Finished and in the final stretch, literally.

9:00 a.m. Done and glowing with a post-workout pride.
